PROJECT INTRODUCTIONSGresham Palace, Budapest
With its unique situation and fascinating interior design, the luxury Hotel Gresham Palace, a member of the Four Seasons Hotel Chain and with 179 rooms is Budapest's most beautiful hotel. The Budapest Palace of the London Gresham Insurance Company was built in 1907 based on plans by Zsigmond Quittner, and József and László Vágó in a late Eclectic style intertwined with Fin de Siecle. Following its deterioration after World War II, the palace could finally be reborn - it became a luxury hotel under the management of two meticulous architects, Gábopr Kruppa and Patrick Fejér. The hotel can be accessed through the famous Peacock Gate from Roosevelt tér. The ground floor has a café and a restaurant while the first floor houses event halls looking over the Danube and a winter garden. In the loft, a wellness-fitness centre was established with bath services, swimming pools, and a steam bath. The building was reconstructed in accordance with its new utilisation and the utmost care was taken to preserve the remaining and sustainable value. This investment obtained a Construction Industry Quality Prize in the category "Monument Restoration, Rehabilitation" and, with regard to special fields, RAABVILL Kft's performance related to the high-current implementation was also awarded a Quality Prize. Rába Quelle Healing, Thermal
and Experience Bath, Győr
This is one of the five chlorine-free baths in Hungary, with five experience pools, two huge chutes of 64 and 38 m, respectively, a water bar, and 40 experience elements (drifting channels, lying massage, geysers, gargoyles, massaging nozzles, waterfalls, and caves), which makes relaxation even more enjoyable, creating a mysterious night atmosphere even during daylight in the Romantic Pool. Impressive from the outside, following its age's bath fashion and still displaying a unique style, this building is situated on the peninsula where the Mosoni-Duna and the Rába meet. Next to it there is a swimming pool, as well as water and green areas all around it, and the beautifully renovated city centre is well within reach. Well-known Győr architect Attila Bodrossy and his colleagues from the Dimenzió Architecture Bureau extended the limits of this city centre by leaving the Baroque style within the walls but still creating its placidity further away. The new bath is rather varied - it has as many sides as faces: it is square and round, airy and massive, all at the same time - for instance, its open-air part looking over the park displays harmony with its surroundings, whereas its main entrance shows a very determined character. The designers emphasised special light effects and markedly elegant forms everywhere. We are proud that RAABVILL Kft could perform all the low- and high-current implementations of this facility. Nokia, Komárom
On 5 May 2000, Nokia CEO Jorma Olilla, the Finnish Prime Minister, and the Hungarian Prime Minister inaugurated Nokia's plant in Komárom. Due to its increasing demands of production capacity, Nokia decided in 1998 to launch a green-field investment in Hungary. Nokia's investments in Komárom have amounted to nearly 200 million EUR since the onset. The first investment, which was worth HUF 25 billion, was finished in record time - the first cell phone was manufactured in the plant eight months following the laying of the foundation in April 1999. In 2003, a logistics hall was built and in 2004, the factory was extended by 50 thousand m2 and, today, the number of employees exceeds 5,500. The first cell phone was produced in Komárom in 2000, and, by November 2006 the three hundred millionth set was manufactured. Over the course of the years, the factory's portfolio was extended on an ongoing basis - today, Nokia Komárom produces several dozen different devices. RAABVILL Kft implemented a high-current installation and electrical jobs of technological installations in all the production halls. Special attention was required by the very strict deadlines while the quality requirements were also very high. |
